Every day in South Africa crime takes place and unsuspecting citizens fall victim to these thugs. However, one video has had South Africans shocked over the brazenness of several alleged robbers.
On Wednesday, Yusuf Abramjee shared a video on Twitter showing the thugs robbing a woman in broad daylight while two police officers were only metres away.
A citizen decided to alert the cops to the incident but the officers were in no rush to stop the alleged robbers. They casually got out the police van and walked over to the scene of the crime, giving the thugs enough time to drive off.
As the car drove away, the officers suddenly started to run back to their vehicle to follow suit. It was not revealed whether or not any arrests were made.
Take a look at the video below:
South Africans were not impressed with the cops’ feeble attempts to stop the crime that took place just metres from them. While some said the officers looked after their own safety because thugs don’t hesitate to shoot, others dubbed the cops useless.
Social media user, @dramadelinquent, commented:
“The crime is our incompetent police.”
Another tweep, @madlinkosi, wrote:
“There is Paradise Tavern there, those cops know there to buy alcohol… So they were flat-footed.”
In other news, Briefly.co.za previously reported Shepherd Bushiri’s followers arrived in their numbers at the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court to support their religious leader and his wife, Mary. The self-proclaimed prophet and his wife were arrested yesterday on charges of money laundering and fraud.
This did not dnbt their supporters’ love for the controversial leader and his wife. Supporters flocked in their numbers to the court this morning with signs and banners proving that they are willing to stand behind the Bushiris.
In a video uploaded to the Facebook page for Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, a man by the name of Derrick speaks to an interviewer. Derrick spoke to those who were against the prophet, he said they planned on organising a “big march,” he then urged followers to go to Pretoria to join the protest.
