Twitter Came Through with Memes About Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala Look

So, Kim Kardashian showed up on the Met Gala red carpet wearing a Donda inspired Balenciaga outfit that covered her from head to toe. And I mean that literally, there was not one inch of skin showing—not even around her eyes.

Obviously, this was a CHOICE and a LOOK and a MOMENT, both for Kim and for the internet at large—which wasted no time with tweets and memes. Which, can you blame them? This photo is everything:

Anyway, turns out Kim’s ex Kanye West helped put together this look despite not attending the event himself. “Even though Kanye is not attending tonight, his presence will be felt on the carpet,” a source told People. “It was Kanye who introduced Kim to Demna and was instrumental in the newly formed relationship between her and Balenciaga.”

The source added, “This look on Kim is like a new subculture and fashion statement. No logo, no face, but everyone knows it’s her. Kanye gave her the courage to push creativity and people’s imagination through art. It’s the ultimate confidence.”

Kim wore a similar look both arriving in New York City for the Met Gala…

So yeah, guess this Met Gala look was her in her final Balenciaga form. Oh, and if you’re wondering whether or not Kim was wearing a full face of makeup under that mask, the answer is yes! Her close friend and makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic went ahead and posted a behind-the-scenes look at the products he used, and I, for one, and dying to know how everything stayed in place:
