The Best TV Shows on Disney+ That You Need to Watch ASAP

courtesy of Marvel Studios

It seems like all I hear about are Disney+ shows these days, but there actually isn’t that much TV on the streaming service. Isn’t that wild? The upside is that the television shows that are on Disney+ are all pretty excellent. No duds! No skips! Bless.

Want to follow Marvel and Star Wars characters on side adventures? Disney+ has a show for that. Want to see reboots of the shows you loved as a kid? They have something for that as well. Want to watch the Disney Channel shows you obsessed over after school and on Saturday morning? The streamer has got you covered.

Here’s your guide to the best TV shows on Disney+.

WandaVision

Marvel fans were seriously confused when WandaVision, a supernatural sitcom about two lesser-known Avengers, hit Disney+. But then they were delighted because the show kind of rules! Who knew Elizabeth Olsen was a queen of comedy?

The Mandalorian

The Star Wars series stars Pedro Pascal, who somehow radiates sex appeal underneath full body armor and a face-obscuring mask. But the true breakout is a little puppet named Grogu, a.k.a. Baby Yoda.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

Don’t be scared by the alleged drama behind the scenes of Olivia Rodrigo’s series. It’s a super fun, albeit bonkers at times, teenage dramedy that will have your rooting for relationships and dance-off competitions like you never could have imagined.

The Falcon and the Winter Solider

Marvel’s follow-up to WandaVision on Disney+ was a little more subdued and serious but had some really subtle and smart things to say about what it means to be an American hero.

Loki

The third Marvel Disney+ series flipped the switch back to weird with time travel and paradoxes. And if your brain hurts from trying to think fourth dimensionally and figure out what’s going on, at least there’s Tom Hiddleston to look at.

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers

This sequel series is actually super cute and Lauren Graham’s character is basically an alternate version of Lorelai Gilmore. Basically, it can hit multiple nostalgia buttons at once.

Diary of a Future President

Disney knows you love an origin story, so this coming-of-age family drama tells you what the future holds for its protagonist right in the title. Elena is destined to be President of the United States, but right now she’s got middle school problems! We’ve all been there.

Encore!

Theatre kids unite! Kristen Bell hosts this series in which high school drama clubs reunite as adults to recreate the show they performed together as teenagers. Every group has their own unique set of emotional baggage and every episode ends with a show.

Agent Carter

This short-lived Marvel series isn’t a Disney+ original, but it’s one of the best that the comic book studio has to offer. It follows Peggy Carter as she deals with her grief and makes a name for herself as a spy in a society that would rather define her as Captain America’s girlfriend. (All while being very fabulous and very British.)

Hannah Montana

Throw it back with Miley Cyrus’ game-changing Disney Channel sitcom. Or watch it for the first time, I won’t judge you…

Stream Now

Once Upon A Time

Get ready to binge, because this fairy tale mash-up series ran for seven seasons. Your mileage may vary on some of the twists, turns, and curses but it’s ultimately worth it for the happy ending.

PS: If you want to be my best friend, check out the weird and romantic spin-off Once Upon A Time in Wonderland as well, which is also on Disney+ and stars Sebastian Stan.

The Muppet Show

For those of us who love to wear vintage and claim the book is always better, there’s the original Muppet Show.

Stream Now

The Suite Life Of Zach and Cody

Another from the 00s era of Disney Channel sitcoms and the one that gave us the Sprouse twins. Also, like…whatever happened to hotel shows? Feels like there used to be a lot of them.

Stream Now

The Wizards of Waverly Place

Remember how much lore you learned about magic and werewolves and angels to watch this show? It was all worth it!

Stream Now

Boy Meets World

Skipping back one generation and you’ve got this absolute ABC classic. The reboot Girl Meets World is streaming too, but it doesn’t beat the original.

Stream Now

That’s So Raven

Do you guys do that thing where someone explains how premonitions work and you’re like, “Yeah, I get it. I watched That’s So Raven.” Or is that just me?

Stream Now

Lizzie Maguire

Millennials can also throw it back with the epic friendships and overly complicated 00s hairstyles of Lizzie Maguire. Seriously…how many clips does Lalaine have in there?!

Stream Now

Gravity Falls

There are also so many excellent animated shows on Disney+ like Phinneas and Ferb, The Proud Family, and this paranormal series starring Jason Ritter and Kristen Schaal.

Stream Now

Behind the Attraction

There are tons of great BTS documentary series on Disney+ for all of the adult fans out there. This one is all about the parks!

Stream Now

Pepper Ann

Hi, did you know that Doug was on Disney+? More importantly, did you know Pepper Ann is on Disney+? Is it Saturday morning yet? Sing it with me: she’s like one in a millYUNNNNN!!!

Stream Now

Just one of the most iconic animated sitcoms of all time is on this streaming service, NBD. And yes, every single episode. Every. Single. One.
