A Cape Town man has decided to turn his home into a youth hub. 29-year-old Mboneleli Gqirana and his wife 28-year-old Siphelele said the concept of turning his home into a safe space for the youth in his community has been with them since 2014.

Mboneleli is a father of three and he has been living in the yellow RDP house in Khayelitsha since his childhood. He credited his late mother for the idea as she helped neighbours without hesitation.
