The officers forcible held Elijah to the ground while paramedics shot Elijah with Ketamine to sedate him. On the way to the hospital, he suffered a cardiac arrest. He died seven days later in the hospital. The autopsy was inclusive on the cause of death.
The District Attorney, Dave Young, did not bring charges against any of the officers. He claims he did not have enough to arrest anyone involved. He continues to defend his decision to this day.
