Bob Odenkirk Gives First Statement Since Collapsing On Set

Bob Odenkirk has given his first public statement since being hospitalized earlier this week.

The “Better Call Saul” actor collapsed on the set of the show. At this time no one was sure as to why he collapsed or what caused it.

His former co-star Bryan Cranston spoke out on Instagram writing, “Today I woke up to news that has made me anxious all morning. My friend, Bob Odenkirk collapsed last night on the set of Better Call Saul. He is in the hospital in Albuquerque and receiving the medical attention he needs but his condition is not known to the public as yet.”

His note continued, “Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you.”

Odenkirk’s son also spoke out about his father’s condition following the hospitalization. On Wednesday, July 28, Nate Odenkirk let fans know that “he’s going to be okay.”

Furthermore, a rep for the actor issued the following statement, “We can confirm Bob is in stable condition after experiencing a heart-related incident. He and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his cast, crew and producers who have stayed by his side.”

Thank goodness for the power of positive vibes, because Odenkirk himself has finally spoken.

The former “Breaking Bad” actor took to Twitter on Friday, July 30, reassuring fans he is okay and gave more information as to what happened.

His message began, “Hi. It’s Bob. Thank you. To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week. And the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It’s overwhelming. But I feel the love and it means so much.”

Odenkirk continued, “I had a small heart attack. But I’m going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery. Also, AMC and SONY’s support and help throughout this has been next-level. I’m going to take a beat to recover but I’ll be back soon.”

Many of his famous friends expressed a massive sigh of relief and gratitude for his update.

Ben Stiller replied to Odenkirk’s message with, “So happy you’re on the mend Bob. #Vaughnisnotarobot.”

Comedian Kathy Griffin tweeted, “Bob, can’t tell you how relieved I am. You are adored.”

And Seth Rogen sent Odenkirk a bunch of hands up to the sky emojis.

Happy to hear he is recovering and in good spirits!
