An eNCA reporter was battling the elements, literally, during a news broadcast. He tried in vain to control his umbrella in the heavy wind and rain.
In the battle between man and nature, nature won – pulling the umbrella from the reporter’s hand. All he could say was “oopsie”.
He did an excellent job of keeping his composure as he reported on recent developments in health care in South Africa.
@TVwithThinus uploaded the video to Twitter and captioned it:
“LET IT GO, LET IT GO. Watch as the @eNCA (@DStv 403) reporter @KhayaJames experiences an accessory malfunction. The rain doesn’t bother him anyway:”
As he continues his broadcast, sans umbrella, the weather accessory can be seen cartwheeling in the background and as if the situation couldn’t get more surreal the camera operator is seen competing in a footrace against the wind in an effort to capture the escaping umbrella.
Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported that mothers will do just about anything to provide for their little ones. In South Africa, there aren’t a lot of options for moms who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and so they find themselves working even harder to make ends meet. This hardworking woman who was caught selling small goods in the street on a rainy day.
Taking to Facebook’s ImStaying group, Sonia Heartvee Mmalerato Gaoganediwe shared a picture of the woman braving the harsh weather conditions while trying to sell her products from a small stall in the street.
She captioned the truly tear-jerking post, “Appreciate what your mom does for you.” The post quickly received thousands of reactions. Many Stayers also headed to the comment section to share their thoughts.
In other news, Gauteng was lashed by severe weather earlier in November resulting in large areas of the province experiencing severe thunderstorms.
A video has surfaced on social media showing how destructive the weather can be. A filling station roof collapsed as a result of the heavy rain and winds.
ER24 reported that only two men received light injuries as a result.
