My Journey: SSC CGL 2017 Results, Rank, and Post Secured
I am honored to share my experience with the SSC CGL 2017 exam, which ultimately led to my secured post as an Income Tax Inspector. Here’s a detailed breakdown of my rank, exam scores, and the post I received.
Final Rank and Post Secured
My final rank in the SSC CGL 2017 was 69. I secured the position of Income Tax Inspector. This was a significant result for me, especially considering the intense competition and the level of preparation required for such a prestigious post.
Exam Scores and Crucial Mains
Tier 1: - Total Marks: 164
Tier 2: - Total Marks: 361.75
English (Tier 2): 182.75 Quantitative Abilities (Tier 2): 179Tier 3: - Marks: 64
Total: - Marks: 589.75
Clearly, the Mains section played a significant role in my final score. Each component of the exam was meticulously planned and executed to achieve the best possible result.
Other Aspirants' Experiences
Other aspirants also shared their experiences in the exams. For example, Anish Jangras secured 982 AIR and the post of Divisional Accountant in CAG. He preferred it for home posting.
Karan Rana secured the post of Income Tax Inspector with 122 rank and scored 584/700. Errors in expectations and perceived intelligence can still lead to unforeseen outcomes. Even with a strong rank like AIR 7 and a score of 575, the Assocham Economic Affairs (MEA) post was missed.
In another instance, a candidate scored 558/700 with an AIR of 1045 and filled the position of Central Excise Inspector. However, the dream of being an Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) in the Central Statistical System (CSS) was dashed by just three marks. It’s a stark reminder that success often comes down to small margins.
A candidate aspiring to be an ASO in the Ministry of External Affairs with an AIR of 32 embarked on the journey to secure their desired post.
A note of gratitude for all who support and motivate each other. Digital messengers of queries are always welcome.
As I reflect on my journey, I have come to realize that being smart and arrogant can be deceiving. I am humbled by the experiences shared by others and have resolved to work harder for a better future. Life has its own plans, and sometimes, the journey is what matters most.
Conclusion
My journey with the SSC CGL 2017 is a testament to hard work, perseverance, and the importance of humble beginnings. The road to success is paved with many unexpected detours, but with the right mindset and continuous effort, every dream is achievable.
