Effective JEE Preparation Strategies from Shaury, an IIT-Aim Aspirant
Hello everyone! I'm Shaury, an IIT-JEE aspirant who will be taking the exam in 2026. I'm currently in my 11th class and am working hard to achieve my dream of joining IIT. While my preparation is on track, I know I still have a lot more work to do. However, I am glad to inform you that I have topped my batch in the recent test and achieved an All India Rank of 26. This progress makes me feel that I'm improving gradually and scoring better.
My Study Routine
Today's study time was a bit less as it was our off day, but on regular days, I dedicate about 7-8 hours to my studies, excluding class hours. In the beginning, I was extremely stressed and unable to solve physics and mathematics numericals. I felt that I was not making much progress. However, over time, I have improved my approach. Now, I focus not just on theory but also on solving more numericals, which has significantly boosted my confidence.
The Importance of Balancing Theory and Practice
Initially, my strategy involved solving more numericals without a strong theoretical foundation. This approach did not yield the desired results. Today, I understand the importance of a balanced approach. Solving numericals is crucial, but a deep understanding of the underlying theory is equally important. By incorporating both, I have been able to solve problems more effectively and gain confidence in my abilities.

Another Aspirant's JEE 2024 Experience
Shaury, another JEE aspirant, shared her experience as a drop-in candidate for the 2024 exam. Her results weren't excellent, but she maintained a positive attitude. With a target of 90-100 marks, she identified her strengths in Mathematics and Chemistry but struggled with Physics due to a lack of formula memorization. Despite not achieving the 75% board percentage, she felt confident about securing a spot at Tazpur University in her home state based on her results. Shaury encourages others to follow her journey for more updates on her performance.
