Embracing the MSc in Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft

As someone who pursued their Masters in Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft from 2015 to 2017, I can confidently vouch for the incredible learning experience that the program offers, particularly within the 'Structures and Computational Mechanics' group. This comprehensive exploration of the course structure, hands-on facilities, and collaborative teaching approach will provide a detailed insight into the journey of studying in this field.
The Structure of the Program
While the study program might seem intimidating with its load of 14 courses within a year, a mandatory 9-month thesis, and a 3-month internship, it is definitely manageable. The program's well-structured framework ensures that students hit all the critical milestones without feeling overwhelmed. This balanced course load allows for deep dives into subjects like nonlinear structural dynamics, which I explored during my master's thesis.
Facilities and Equipment
The laboratory facilities at TU Delft for manufacturing and testing structures are some of the best in the world, equipped with cutting-edge technology for both composite and metal work. These advanced facilities were especially valuable during a group project where we delved into composite manufacturing and testing. The availability of such advanced equipment provides invaluable hands-on experience, crucial for students aspiring to excel in aerospace engineering.
